Questions

Do I need WP Recipe Maker?

Not to use the theme — posts, archives and patterns all work without it. But the recipe layout is styled specifically for WP Recipe Maker, and the free version is enough. If you already use it, your existing recipes pick up the new styling on activation.

Will my existing recipes and posts carry over?

Yes. Chloe styles the content you already have — it doesn’t ask you to re-enter anything. Featured images, categories and recipe cards all map across. Set your homepage and menus after activation and you’re done.

Can I change the colors and fonts?

All of them, in the WordPress editor, without touching code. The palette and type scale are defined once and applied everywhere, so changing the accent color updates links, buttons and ingredient quantities together.

What’s actually missing from Starter?

The about and contact layouts. Home, archive and recipe post are the pages a blog runs on, and Starter has those finished, plus the full pattern library. If you already have an about page you like, Starter is enough.

What happens after a month?

The theme is yours to keep and keeps working. Support just stops being included — you can still email, and I’ll answer when I can.

Do I need a page builder?

No. Chloe is a block theme, edited entirely in WordPress itself. No Elementor, no Divi, no extra license, no page builder bloat slowing the site down.
